WHAT IS HOCUS FOCUS™ ?


Hocus Focus™ is a creative instructional approach to support the learning of students with varying degrees of educational challenges and abilities including autistic, cognitively delayed, emotionally disturbed and learning disabled students. The activities are motivational, promote positive self-expression and reinforce many key skills needed for student success.

THE PRELUDE

Here you will find information about the structure, content, and assessment instrument used in this online course.

THE OPENING CURTAIN

This section is divided into nine (9) "curtains" that provide an Introduction to Magic for you and your students.

THE ACTS

Each weekly lesson plan is an Act - a division or unit of a theatrical work. There are eight (8) Acts in the Hocus Focus program but they can be subdivided based on the needs of your students.

THE FINAL CURTAIN

After your students have completed the program, they are ready for the final curtain - a performance for the faculty, staff, and/or students!
